The mountainous Adjara region in Georgia has a small Muslim population known for their ornate mosques and traditional embroidery. These one-of-a-kind hand-painted tile sets from Red Ceramics were inspired by the naïve local embroidery art.

Red is a small female-owned ceramic studio in Tbilisi, Georgia, run by Tako Nodia and Nata Gigineishvili. Tako started working in ceramics during her studies in Turkey. Her friend Nata joined her later and they started a studio together in 2014.
