The Georgian startup Constructio makes paper model kits of our favorite Georgian architectural landmarks for kids between the ages of 12 to 99. The goal of the startup is to introduce Georgian cultural heritage to larger populations and inform people about the reasons for conserving and restoring architectural landmarks.

This particular model is of a historic building on Gudiashvili Square built in 1830-1850 in the oldest district of Tbilisi, Georgia. The building belonged to the imperial military development and the ground floor was a hotel dedicated to officers. The great Russian poet and guards officer Mikhail Lermontov used to spend his time at the hotel. During the Soviet era the building was converted as an editorial office of the newspaper Literary Georgia.

The kit was prepared and printed in Georgia. Kit complexity level is 5/5 on Constructio’s scale.
